Team Japan announced for the last major in 2017


The Japan FootGolf Association announced today that the members for Team Japan for the FIFG World Tour Japan Footgolf International Open 2017 which will be held at the Karuizawa 72 Golf South in Nagano Prefecture in Japan from October 26th to 29th.

The team Japan includes Teruo Iwamoto, former member of Japan national soccer team, Noriyuki Zaizen, former member of U17 Japan national soccer team, and Satoshi Horinouchi, ex-member of the Urawa Red Diamonds, and they form "The Class of Fame" for the team Japan this time.

The organization also has selected the Asian champion Hiroyuki Kuwata, Yuta Tanaka, and Hiroki Hachiya for the general category, Kaori Yamano for the women's division, and Takeshi Tanaka for the senior division.

The total cash purse for the tournament is 3,500,000 yen and the champion will get 1,000,000 yen which will be the highest prize for the history of the sport, and everyone from all over the world will have a chance to play after the registration.
