Local Rules

The following local rules are applied in preference to the FIFG rules in this event.

1. Rules for the ball

1.1. The ball
The ball must be an official ball of FIFA (FIFA APPROVED or FIFA INSPECTED), or JFA approved ball and be size of 5.

1. 2. Restrictions for the ball

A ball used for tee shot at first hole has to be played for all 18 holes. In the event that the ball is cracked or deformed, follow the FIFG Rule 9.2 ball procedure. If it is difficult to continue playing, the player should continue playing with the spare ball the player prepares, but if the player does not have spare ball, the player can borrow the ball from the accompanying competitor or the tournament office. In that case, the player has to play with the replaced ball until holing out at the final hole of the round.

1. 3. Changing the air pressure of the ball
Changing the air pressure of the ball is permitted between the holing out from a previous hole to the tee kick from a teeing ground of the next hole. The changing the air pressure of the ball also includes the measurement by air pressure gauge. Therefore, when inserting the air needle of the air pump or the air pressure gauge into the air hole of the ball, it is regarded as a violation of this rule, and the player will be issued an one shot penalty.

2. Regulations in the competition
2.1. Pairing order
If the tournament has a tied score, the player who submits scorecard after getting attested fast will pair in latter group.

2.2. Teeing off
The honor at the start hole shall be the leftmost (or top) player on the pairing sheet, and the teeing offs should be done in order from left to right (or from top to bottom). However, even if players play in the wrong order, the players will NOT get penalty.

2.3. Changing tee
If player changes the tee during the competition and plays, the player will be charged 2 shots penalties per hole. If the player changes tee at 2 holes, the player will be charged 4 shots penalties.

2.4. Tee up
Tee up is not available in this tournament.

2.5. Green for FootGolf
The distance of ONE pin flag from the outer circumference of the cup is the Green in this tournament. The cutting height of the grasses around the cup may be shortened in order to increase the difficulty level, but it is NOT equal to the green.

2.6 Green for golf
If the ball stops on the green for golf, the player has to pick up the ball and find the nearest point outside the green at a position not approaching the cup, and place within a distance one step from the point and continue playing without penalty. In addition, if the player's position touches the green, the player must find the nearest point.

2.7. The ball inside bunker
Player has to kick the ball with no-step in bunker. If a player takes a step to kick in bunker, the player will take one shot penalty and kicks again from the place where it is considered the ball has been. In that case, the bunker can be raked.

2.8. In case the artificial object is on the line of play to kick the ball
When an artificial object, such as manholes and sprinklers is on the line of play to kick the ball except on Green for FootGolf, player can NOT replace the ball.

2.9. In case of strong wind
When the ball is moved by wind, outsiders, etc., the ball can be returned to its original position without penalty if the player marks the ball, however, if the player doesn’t mark the ball, the player has to play from the position the ball moved.

2.10. Replacing the ball

2.11. Special rule in slow play
Based on the FIFG Rules "6.2.Playing for time; slow game", the following applies to players who are playing for time:

1) In par 4 and par 5, when the group gets into the teeing ground and the group ahead has finished that hole, it is considered that the play of the group is delayed and the group may be warned to accelerate the pace of play by competition committee.
2) The group and its players who are warned are subject to time measurement. The player who is the subject to the time measurement must kick within 40 seconds after the player's turn comes. If the player who is the subject to the time measurement exceeds the allowable time, the player will take one shot penalty, if the player exceeds the allowable time for the second time, the player will take two shots penalties, and if the player exceeds the allowable time for the third time, the player will be disqualified. In addition, only when that group or that player accelerates the pace of the play, the FIFG Rules "21. Order of the game 21-1. Stroke play" does not need to be applied.

2. 12. Attesting the scorecard
After completing round, player attests the score to the competition committee in the attest area. After leaving the attest area, the player can NOT return to the attest area and correct the score again.

In case that any violation is detected after leaving the attest area, the competition committee will verify the fact on the course in the presence of the player, the marker, and the player who reported the violation to the committee, and the committee will confirm the fact that there was the violation. If any violation is found, 2 shots penalties are applied to the player on that hole.

3. Coping with wild weather
3.1. When the competition is suspended by wild weather, such as lightning etc., one longer whistle will be rung. As the competition is suspended, player must mark the position where the ball lies, leaves that mark and immediately evacuates to the nearest building or clubhouse. After restarting the game, the player must play from the position where the ball lies and must be careful not to count the score too low or too high when suspended. In the unlikely event that there is scoring a wrong number of kicks, the procedure should be conformed to the FIFG Rulebook. The signal to restart the competition is the one longer whistle after announcing the competition will resume and confirming players return to the position where the ball lies. In addition, as in the case of suspension, the competition committee may sometimes ring some longer whistles in order to notify the player.
